Pan Pacific Masters Game was first held in the Gold Coast back in 1996 and was originally named Queensland Masters Game. It was later changed to Asia Pacific Masters Game in 1998. The sports events were also held at the Gold Coast three more times - 1998, 2000, and 2002. This year’s Pan Pacific Masters Game will not only continue to provide intense yet friendly competition but will also create consciousness on good health and well-being for both contestants and sports enthusiasts alike.
This week long international multi-sports event draws more than 10,000 participants from all over the world. There will be different sports lined up which will be held in various locations near our cheap Broadbeach apartments on the Gold Coast. Game programs for the seventh Pan Pacific Masters 2010 will include team events such as basketball, beach volleyball, hockey and dragon boat race as well as individual events ranging from archery, swimming, rowing and golf.
Individuals or teams who wish to participate in the Pan Pacific Masters Games can easily sign up since there are no qualifying standards needed except that contestants should meet the minimum age requirement for their particular sport, which for most is 30 years and above.
Participants and spectators at our Broadbeach holiday apartments can join in all the fun. Just a few minutes drive from our beachfront apartments in Broadbeach is where you’ll find the official Game Village of the Pan Pacific Masters, which will be at the world-famous Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Game Village will be the host for the Expos, Merchandise booths and as well as General and Sports Information booths. Athletes and guests at Queensleigh Holiday Apartments can enjoy the nightly live entertainments and bistros at the Game Village. Guests and participants can also shop and dine at the nearby Pacific Fair, which is the official shopping centre of the Pan Pacific Masters.
