As a region enveloped by stunning natural wonders and harbours flourishing flora and fauna, the beautiful city of Gold Coast is evermore keen on taking care of its fragile ecosystem. With regards to environment conservation, the Coast with the Most supports any efforts that help promote a cleaner and greener city. Our Queensleigh Holiday Apartments in Broadbeach believes in the same cause and also encourages everyone to learn more about what we can do for the environment. We also invite groups and individuals to participate on remarkable eco events such as this year’s Green Day Out Festival.
Taking place on 12 June 2011 at Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach, Green Day Out is a unique festival that seeks to heighten the awareness on sustainability and conservation of our natural environment. Founded in 1999, Green Day Out is also a part of the United Nations’ World Environment Day celebrations. The festival is organized by Gecko – Gold Coast Hinterland Environment Council and for this year, guests at our beachfront apartments Broadbeach can take part on all the fun activities and programs on Green Day Out. The organizers have also prepared several eco workshops, exhibits and market stalls that promote greener lifestyle and choices.
Caring for the environment while spending your family holiday Broadbeach is more fulfilling especially when enjoying the festivities at Green Day Out. The festival will feature exciting events and shows that include street performance, wildlife shows, film presentations, eco fashion designing competition, live musical performances, games and contests, petting zoo and market stalls. Green Day Out aims to educate the public about how to protect the environment while providing great entertainment that everyone can enjoy.
