Since the 1980s the Gold Coast has made its mark on filmmaking with its scenic beaches and picturesque hinterland being featured in over 20 films including Thor: Ragnarok, Kong: Skull Island, San Andreas, Pirates of the Caribbean, Unbroken, Aquaman, and more. For 15 consecutive years the Gold Coast Film Festival has celebrated this incredible history, with each event being just as successful as the last!

The 15th Gold Coast Film Festival in 2017 celebrated film over 11 days and featured over 90 film-related events in 13 different locations on the Gold Coast; and the 16th Gold Coast Film Festival from April 17 to April 29 this 2018 is set to be bigger and better!
