This summer, round up your mates and spend an evening with dance-pop trio Bananarama! Soon to come to the Gold Coast, this pioneering female trio return to Australia armed with their biggest hits, and there isn’t a better way to experience the ‘80s one more time!
Bananarama - made up of Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward and Siobhan Fahey - rose to the top of the dance music with their debut 1983 album Deep Sea Skiving. They soon became one of the biggest female bands of the era, earning a string of UK Top 10 hits including “It Ain’t What You Do”, “Really Saying Something”, “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye”, “Shy Boy”, “Robert De Niro’s Waiting”, “Love in the First Degree” and the ever-popular “Venus”.
To this day, Bananarama remains as one of the most successful female groups of all time, having nearly 30 of their singles in the Top 50 of the UK Singles Chart and a place in the Guinness World Records as the most charted all-female group. The trio still performs to this day, and for their Australian fans this 2019, Bananarama are not to be missed when they come to perform on the famous Gold Coast!
